Auburn State Recreation Area (ASRA)
Auburn State Recreation Area is a popular destination for hikers riders within the greater Sacramento Area. It boasts a little bit of everything, from the smooth flowing singletrack of the Foresthill Divide Trail to the loose chunk and screaming speed of Rocky. Busy days lead to a surprising amount of hiker and biker traffic on many of these trails. Keep your head on a swivel and be courteous to those around you.

Kelley Davis, Executive Director
Kelley grew up in Auburn and discovered the joy of cycling in high school with a hand-me-down Bianchi road bike. She went on to develop a deep love and appreciation for bike and trail advocacy in college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and evolved into an avid bike commuter while living in the Bay Area and abroad. Upon returning home to Auburn, she dreamed of a more bikeable and connected community. Kelley believes access to trails is one of Auburn's greatest resources and an incredible opportunity for residents and visitors to be active. She envisions a town where biking and active transportation are accessible to more users and helps bring people out of their cars and onto the beautiful streets of Auburn.
Kelley's background is working as a Registered Dietitian and she currently serves on the Auburn City Council. Kelley and her husband are raising their two kids to embrace active transportation by commuting on an e-cargo bike around town, getting out on the trails, and of course many trips to the Auburn Bike Park.

Brandon Solomon, Treasurer
A Project and Change Management Consultant, Brandon joined the board in 2025 because Kelley told him to 😁. He believes that Auburn has so much to offer and that there needs to be improvements to how people of all ages, especially families with young kids, access town and the great outdoors. He wants to be a part of that change and make a positive impact for everyone wanting to access town and trails. You can find him outdoors trail running, hiking with his kids and walking around Old Town and Downtown Auburn. His favorite trails and landmarks include Stagecoach, K2, and No Hands. He’s the only member of the board who doesn’t ride a bike!
Diana Boyer, Trail Liaison
We are all grateful to Diana for her incredible work making the dream of the Auburn Bike Park a reality! She’s here to support the bike park and promote Auburn as a bicycle-friendly community. If you catch her in the great outdoors, she’s most likely mountain biking or skiing. She has too many favorite trails to just pick one, but the Auburn State Recreation Area and China Bar are her top destinations.
Theresa Zaro, Member at Large
Previously our Treasurer, Theresa joined the board in 2023. She is a Principal and Owner of Yamasaki Landscape Architecture and is here to help our thriving community of bikers, hikers, runners, strollers come together to celebrate trail culture, increase safe and pleasant access to trails, and support long-range planning efforts to build trail connectivity. Her favorite local trail is Cardiac Bypass, and she loves spending time walking our neighborhoods, listening to birds along the canals, mountain biking to/around the river, gardening, stopping to smell the roses.
She’s building her art-on-the-go skills this year, stopping on the trail or in town to do a 5-minute sketch. Come over to say hi when you see her!
Danny Geiger, Member at Large
Danny is originally from Long Island, New York, and has called the Sacramento area home for 11 years. As an IT security specialist, Danny protects Californians’ data, ensuring privacy and safety.
